These terms govern the use of sorah.io and the pages beneath it (the Site), operated by SORAH Inc. (we, us). By using the Site you agree to these terms.
1. Scope
These terms apply to everyone who uses the Site. Purchases made through the online store at shop.sorah.io are additionally governed by the sales and refund terms published there.
2. Intellectual property
Rights in the text, images, figures, data visualisations, video, logos and design published on the Site belong to us or to the respective rights holders.
Reproduction, alteration, distribution, public transmission or commercial use beyond the scope of fair quotation requires our prior permission.
3. Data and sources
The data visualisations on the Site are produced by us from publicly available observational and scientific datasets. Each figure states its source.
We take care over the accuracy and completeness of what we publish but do not warrant it. For research, journalism or any decision that rests on the figures, consult the original source.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Acts that break the law or offend public order
- Acts that infringe our rights or the rights of a third party
- Interfering with the operation of the Site, including access that places an excessive load on it
- Commercial use of the contents of the Site without our permission
- Unauthorised access to pages that are access-restricted
5. Disclaimer
Except in cases of our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damage arising from use of the Site.
We may change, suspend or discontinue the contents of the Site without notice.
6. External links
Where the Site links to an external website, we are not responsible for that site or its operation.
7. Personal information
Personal information is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising in connection with the Site.
9. Changes to these terms
We revise these terms when needed. Revised terms take effect when published on this page.
